Zusammenfassung
This chapter outlines the reform process of the Academy of the Munich Municipal Hospital System from 2004–2012. Five hospitals and service departments were merged into system. The Academy is the central educational facility of the company, consisting of schools, a staff education unit and dormitories, was reorganized. The Schools of nursing and the staff education unit were merged, restructured and new curricula implemented. Intensive staff development programs helped to succeed with this process. Two surveys show the improvements in staff satisfaction.
