Zusammenfassung

Durch Integration einer fokussierten Echokardiographie in den Advanced Life Support (ALS) können behandelbare Ursachen des Kreislaufstillstandes nachgewiesen werden. Der trainierte Anwender kann dabei versuchen innerhalb von 10 sec während kurzer Unterbrechungen der Thoraxkompressionen folgende reversible Ursachen erkennen:

  • Rechtsherzbelastung als Hinweis auf eine Lungenarterienembolie,

  • Perikardtamponade,

  • hochgradig eingeschränkte Pumpfunktion,

  • Hypovolämie.
