Zusammenfassung
In vielen Bereichen medizinischer Einrichtungen sind Ausbrüche nosokomialer Infektionen ein seltenes Ereignis. In bestimmten Bereichen, besonders in Intensivstationen, tritt jedoch ein erheblicher Anteil nosokomialer Infektionen in Form von Ausbrüchen auf. Dieses Kapitel erläutert den richtigen Umgang mit einem Ausbruchsgeschehen.
