Zusammenfassung

Die kontinuierliche mandatorische Beatmung stellt gewissermaßen die Grundform der modernen (Überdruck-)beatmung dar. Hierbei übernimmt das Beatmungsgerät die gesamte Atmung des Patienten und „kontrolliert“ diese vollständig oder zumindest weitgehend. Daher wird diese Beatmungsform häufig auch etwas unscharf einfach nur als „kontrollierte Beatmung“ bezeichnet
