Zusammenfassung
Der Wahl von Naht- und Gefäßersatzmaterialien kommt in der offenen Gefäßchirurgie eine herausragende Bedeutung zu. Es muss je nach Operationsgebiet optimal an die Gegebenheiten angepasst sein. Hilfestellung bietet dieses Kapitel, in dem die derzeit zur Verfügung stehenden Materialien vorgestellt und kurz anhand ihrer Vorzüge und möglichen Nachteile erläutert werden.
Zudem stellen die gängigen Hilfsgeräte, die zum Gelingen der operativen Eingriffe beitragen, wie Wärme- und Lagerungsmatten sowie Blutauffanggeräte, einen weiteren Schwerpunkt dar.
Neben dem neurologischen Monitoring ist es erforderlich, unmittelbar während und nach der Rekonstruktion sorgfältig die Dichtigkeit und Durchgängigkeit der Gefäße zu prüfen. An dem Blutdurchfluss bemisst sich der Operationserfolg, aber auch die Entscheidung zu sofortiger Korrektur. Ein weiteres Verfahren zur Qualitätsprüfung stellt die Angiografie dar.
