Zusammenfassung
Die als »Pick-Komple x« oder »frontotemporale Lobärdegeneratione n« (FTLD) zusammengefasste Krankheitsgruppe ohne Alzheimer-Pathologie wird für bis zu 20% aller Demenzen verantwortlich gemacht. Die drei prototypischen klinischen Bilder bei FTLD sind frontotemporale Demenz, progrediente unflüssige Aphasie und semantische Demenz. Das Erkennen dieser Krankheitsgruppe hat große prognostische und differenzialtherapeutische Bedeutung. Serotonerge Medikamente sind symptomatisch vermutlich wirksamer als zentrale Cholinesterasehemmer.
