Zusammenfassung

Bei Basalganglienerkrankunge n stehen Bewegungsstörungen im Vordergrund der Symptomatik. Obwohl initial meist weniger ausgeprägt, treten im Verlauf zunehmend psychische Veränderungen auf. Diese umfassen neben kognitiven (exekutive Funktionen, Gedächtnis, Sprache, räumlich-visuelle Funktion, Praxie) auch andere psychische Störungen (Depression, Manie, Persönlichkeitsveränder ungen, Zwangsstörungen, Angst, Schlaf- und Sexualstörungen), deren klinische Bedeutung in den letzten Jahren zunehmend besser erkannt wurde.
