Zusammenfassung

Nach der Alzheimer-Demenz (AD) sind zerebrale Durchblutungsstörungen die zweithäufigste Demenzursache in Europa. Aufgrund der Heterogenität des Krankheitsbildes sind die Einordnung und die Klassifikation uneinheitlich. Begriffe wie chronische zerebrovaskuläre Insuffizienz, Binswanger-Erkrankung oder Multiinfarktsyndrom werden ohne klare Abgrenzung verwendet.
