Zusammenfassung
Kognitive Defizite können durch unterschiedliche Interaktionen von affektiven und demenziellen Erkrankungen hervorgerufen bzw. verstärkt werden, nämlich durch depressionsinduzierte kognitive Störungen, ein zufälliges Zusammentreffen von Depression und Demenzerkrankung oder eine demenzinduzierte Depression mit einer konsekutiv weiteren Verschlechterung der kognitiven Leistung. Ferner können depressive Syndrome psychogen ausgelöst werden (Konversionssyndrome, z. B. Ganser Syndrom).
