Zusammenfassung
Holistische neuropsychologische Rehabilitations-programme scheinen häufig die besten Ergebnisse bei Patienten mit Schädel-Hirn-Trauma (SHT) zu erzielen. Die Meinungen darüber gehen jedoch auseinander (Malec u. Basford 1996). Dieses Kapitel befasst sich mit der klinischen und wissenschaftlichen Evidenz für die Effektivität dieser Rehabilitationsprogramme. In diesem Zusammenhang müssen die folgenden Fragen beantwortet werden:

Verbessern holistische, „milieuorientierte“ neuropsychologische Rehabilitationsprogramme die psychosoziale Funktionsfähigkeit von Menschen mit Hirnschädigungen?

Verbessern kognitives Training und Rehabilitation höhere zerebrale Funktionen?

Helfen bestimmte Formen kognitiver Rehabilitation hirngeschädigten Menschen, ihre an haltenden Defizite effektiv zu kompensieren?
-
Helfen psychotherapeutische Interventionen den Patienten, sich an die chronischen Foigen der Hirnschädigung dauerhaft anzupassen?
