Abstract

The question of ‘free will’ is the most important unresolved issue in the development of a science-based conception of reality. Its importance stems from the fact that a person’s belief about the capacity of his mental aspects to influence his physical behavior affects his actions, and thereby both his own future, and potentially the future of the society in which he is embedded.
