Zusammenfassung

Antikörper gegen Thrombozyten werden als Alloantikörper nach Transfusion von Blutprodukten und während Schwangerschaften gebildet. Sie können ausgeprägte Thrombozytopenien induzieren (bei der fetalen/neonatalen Alloimmunthrombozytopenie und im Rahmen von Transfusionsreaktionen) und die Wirksamkeit von Thrombozytentransfusionen bei immunisierten Empfängern fast völlig verhindern. Warum Patienten plötzlich thrombozytäre Autoantikörper bilden und deshalb an einer Autoimmunthrombozytopenie erkranken, ist nach wie vor unklar. Auch bei Medikamenten-induzierten Antikörpern führen autoreaktive thrombozytäre Antikörper zu teilweise schweren, meist reversiblen Immunthrombozytopenien.
