Zusammenfassung

Menschliche Thrombozyten enthalten ebenso wie alle anderen zellulären Blutelemente genetisch determinierte Alloantigene, die bei vielen Krankheitsbildern wie der neonatalen Alloimmunthrombozytopenie (► Kap. 29), der posttransfusionellen Purpura (► Kap. 37), dem Refraktärzustand bei Thrombozytentransfusionen (► Kap. 24) und bei Transplantationen (► Kap. 32) eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Für die Diagnostik, Prophylaxe und Therapie solcher Krankheitszustände ist es deshalb wichtig, thrombozytäre Antigen-Antikörper-Reaktionen zu kennen. Seit einigen Jahren werden darüber hinaus Zusammenhänge zwischen thrombozytären Alloantigen und arteriellen thrombotischen Ereignissen diskutiert.
