Zusammenfassung

Therapieentscheide in einer kritischen, komplexen Patientensituation sind ethisch sensibel, enthalten sie doch vielfach eine Weichenstellung, z.B. für oder gegen eine Weiterbehandlung. Diese Entscheide sind für Patienten, ihre Angehörigen, aber oft auch für das klinische Personal von großer Tragweite. Sie stellen deshalb einen besonderen Anspruch an die Qualität der Entscheidungsfindung. Die Literatur weist allerdings darauf hin, dass Entscheidungsprozesse von vielerlei Faktoren ungünstig beeinflusst werden, welche die Qualität mindern. Traditionsgemäß beschäftigen sich Philosophie und Logik mit normativen Fragen des guten Argumentierens, korrekten Schlussfolgerns und rationalen Denkens. Sie identifizieren eine Vielzahl formaler und v.a. informaler Fehlschlüsse. Das vorliegende Kapitel fokussiert demgegenüber auf die empirische Entscheidungsforschung und untersucht aus der Perspektive der Entscheidungspsychologie mögliche Einflussfaktoren, welche den Entscheidungsprozess beeinträchtigen oder verzerren können.
