Die männliche Harnröhre hat eine Länge von etwa 25 cm sowie eine durchschnittliche Weite von 7–9 mm (21–27 Charr). Physiologische Engen liegen am:

  • Orificium externum

  • Übergang der Fossa navicularis zur penilen Urethra,

  • Bulbus urethrae (Pars membranacea der Urethra).
