Zusammenfassung
Eine handtherapeutische Intervention kann bei allen Diagnosen von Schädigungen an den anatomischen Strukturen der Knochen, Sehnen, Muskeln, Bandstrukturen, Gelenke, Nerven, Gefäße oder des Hautmantels erforderlich werden und es ist selbstverständlich, dass angrenzende Gelenke wie Ellbogen, Schulter, Schultergürtel und Wirbelsäule auf die Gesamtverletzung Auswirkung haben können. Dieses setzt die Kenntnis der Biomechanik, der funktionellen Anatomie, der Pathophysiologie, konservativer und operativer Verfahren sowie eine professionelle Einschätzung des Zeitpunktes der Behandlungsmaßnahme, die exakte Evaluation und adäquate Auswahl der Methoden voraus, die im Behandlungsprozess durchaus parallel erforderlich werden können.
