Zusammenfassung

Die Erbringung qualitativ hochwertiger medizinischer Leistungen war und ist noch immer der selbstauferlegte Anspruch, an dem sich Ärzte und Kliniken messen lassen wollen. Nun reicht es aber nicht mehr aus, nur hohe Ansprüche zu formulieren, sondern Erbringer medizinischer Leistungen müssen diese Leistungen auch dokumentieren, um eine Vergleichbarkeit erreichen zu können. Verschärft durch zunehmende ökonomischen Zwänge und eine immer stärker werdenden Konkurrenzsituation auf der einen Seite sowie eine gestiegene Anspruchshaltung der Patienten auf der anderen Seite kommen Ärzte und Kliniken nicht ohne die Einführung und dauerhaften Etablierung von Qualitätsmanagementsystemen aus.
