Zusammenfassung

Als Ventrikelseptumdefekt (VSD) wird eine Kommunikation zwischen linkem und rechtem Ventrikel im Bereich der Kammerscheidew and bezeichnet. Diese kann isoliert aber auch in Kombination mit anderen kardialen oder vas kulären Fehlbildungen vorkommen. Dieses Kapitel befasst sich vorwiegend mit der Behandlung des isolierten VSD, der 20–25 % aller angeborenen Herzfehler ausmacht.
