Zusammenfassung

Frakturen im Bereich der Halswirbelsäule (HWS, occipitocervical C0/C1 bis cervicothoracal C7/Th1) werden hier besprochen. Hauptaugenmerk wird auf die Frakturen des Wirbelkörpers sowie die Stabilität beeinflussende Strukturen (Wirbelbögen, Bänder) gelegt. Als Bewegungssegment ist dabei der Bereich zwischen Grund- und Deckplatte angrenzender Wirbel einschlieslich des Spinalkanalinhalts und aller Band- und Muskelverbindungen anzusehen.
