Zusammenfassung
Die Verfahren der Erhebung von Lebensgeschichten schließen an alltägliche Praktiken an, an kulturelle Formtraditionen, an Gewohnheiten des sozialen Lebens. Wären es die Menschen nicht gewohnt, aus Lebensgeschichte zu erzählen, hätten sie nicht schon autobiographische Texte gelesen, wüssten sie nicht, wie man im Sinnhorizont der Biographie denkt, spricht und handelt, ginge biographische Forschung ins Leere.
