Summary
Nontraction, nonstretch injuries to the brachial plexus are uncommon. The causes of these injuries are very easy to identify. Birth-related brachial plexus palsies are low-velocity and low-impact injuries compared with adult brachial plexus injuries (e.g., vehicular accidents), which are high velocity and high impact.
