Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is twofold. The focus is an innovative project developed between 1990 and 1995 to encourage the joint training of practice teachers/clinical supervisors in nursing, occupational therapy and social work. On one level, it is hoped that this analysis of the project will provide a useful model for those interested in organising joint training programmes. On another level the project serves as a case study to illustrate some of the changes in the roles and status of health care professionals, the moving boundaries between them, and the interface between these changes and current developments in professional education and training.
