3. Wohn- und Betreuungsformen für ältere Menschen im Spiegel der Forschung

Zusammenfassung

Zum „Assisted Living“ in den USA liegen zahlreiche Studien vor. Im Gegensatz dazu wurde das Betreute Wohnen im deutschsprachigen Raum bislang kaum erforscht. Auf der Grundlage der verfügbaren Studien lässt sich beschreiben, in welchem Ausmaß Pflegebedürftigkeit in beiden Arten von Einrichtungen vorhanden ist und welche Einstellungen und Erwartungen ältere Menschen zu einem Einzug dort und zur Inanspruchnahme von Pflege haben. Studien zum „Assisted Living“ vermitteln zudem einen Einblick in die Art und Weise, wie die dortigen Bewohner ihre sozialen Beziehungen untereinander, zu Angehörigen, Freunden und Bekannten außerhalb, sowie zum Betreuungspersonal gestalten.
