Zusammenfassung

Im letzten Kapitel dieses Buches wird auf den Nutzen der Wissenschaft für die Praxis auf Grundlage der evidenzbasierte Praxis (EBP) eingegangen. EBP bezeichnet das Treffen von therapeutischen/diagnostischen Entscheidungen unter Miteinbezug der jeweils besten verfügbaren Evidenz. Der Begriff “Evidenz” bezieht sich auf den wissenschaftlichen Beweis aus entsprechenden qualitativ hochwertigen Studien.

ALARA steht für „as low as reasonably achievable“ und beschreibt das Prinzip, die für eine indikationsspezifische Bildqualität notwendige Strahlendosis „so gering wie vernünftiger Weise erreichbar“ zu halten.
