Zusammenfassung

Ausbildung ist ein wesentlicher und kostenintensiver Teil der medizinischen Praxis, dessen Schwerpunkt traditionell auf individuellem Wissen, Fertigkeiten und persönlichen Überzeugungen liegt. In den letzen Jahren wurde die medizinische Simulation in viele Ausbildungsprogramme integriert, um nicht nur medizinische Expertise, sondern auch nichttechnische Fertigkeiten wie Führungsstärke, Kommunikation und Kooperation zu trainieren. Dies ist zurückzuführen auf steigende Anforderungen an die Patientensicherheit, wobei in der Ausbildung und bei neuen Technologien immer mehr Wert auf Kosteneffizienz gelegt wird.
Diese Übersicht beschreibt die aktuellen Kernpunkte der medizinischen Simulation einschließlich des Wie (nach dem neuesten Stand der Technik) sowie des Wichtigsten zum Wann und Wo. Sie behandelt die Themen Evaluation von Simulationsprogrammen sowie Einsatz von Simulation zu Prüfungszwecken und vermittelt den Standpunkt der Autoren zur Zukunft der Simulation.
