Zusammenfassung

Die Aufgabe des Ultraschalls in der Reproduktionsmedizin ist es, so viel wie möglich über die Chancen der Frau, erfolgreich schwanger zu werden, herausbekommen. Die strukturierte Basisuntersuchung nennt man „Fertilitäts- Scan“. Die sonographische Beurteilung der inneren Geschlechtsorgane der Frau im Rahmen einer Infertilitätsdiagnostik, die Bestimmung des Reifegrades des Endometriums und der Follikel im Ultraschall sind sowohl im natürlichen als auch beim stimulierten Zyklus wichtig. Der Ultraschall ist heute bei der Festlegung und Umsetzung reproduktionsmedizinischer Therapien, wie etwa bei der Bestimmung der ovariellen Reserve, beim Monitoring des IVF/ICSI-Zyklus, bei der Follikelpunktion und beim Embryotransfer, unentbehrlich.
