Zusammenfassung

Von Verbrennungstraumata sind besonders häufig die Hände betroffen. Die Behandlung der verbrannten Hand ist eine große Herausforderung in der Plastischen Chirurgie. Der Erfolg der Behandlung hängt dabei von verschiedenen Faktoren ab - vom Schweregrad des Verbrennungstraumas, der Erstversorgung sowie einem ausgewogenen Verhältnis von Schienenbehandlung, Mobilisation und plastisch-chirurgischen Maßnahmen. Hierbei gewährt ein multidisziplinäres Team aus plastischen Chirurgen, Krankengymnasten, Ergotherapeuten, Psychologen und einem motivierten Patienten ein Höchstmaß an Behandlungsqualität.

Zusammenfassung

Hands are most frequently involved in severe burns. The treatment of the burned hand is one of the most challenging problems in plastic surgery. The success of therapy is determined by the severity of the initial injury, the first aid provided, and the correct balance between mobilization, splinting and plastic surgical procedures. In this respect, it is vital to have a highly qualified interdisziplinary team approach consisting of plastic surgeons, well-trained physical therapists, psychologists and a highly motivated patient.
