Summary
It is reported on experiences gathered of the method of narcosis respiration bronchoscopy with the Emerson-Chest-Respirator as developped in America. The essential advantage of this methode consists in permitting a constantly sufficient exchange of gas and an unhampered handling of every kind of bronchoscopic tubes, optics and tools. The one-phase overpressure respiration (I.P.P.B.) of the sick persons works according to the principle of the Iron Lung by producing rhythmic underpressures within a nylon shirt under which a stiff arc forms an air tunnel where the varying pressures are transmitted. - This method can even be used for long-time endoscopic operations and in cases of extended pulmonary alterations.
Zusammenfassung
Erfahrungsbericht über das in Amerika entwickelte Verfahren der Narkose-Beatmungs-Bronchoskopie mit dem Emerson-Chest-Respirator, dessen wesentlicher Vorteil in einem ständig ausreichenden Gasaustausch und der behinderungsfreien Arbeitsmöglichkeit mit jeglicher Art bronchoskopischer Rohre, Optiken und Instrumente liegt. Die einphasige Überdruckbeatmung (I.P.P.B.) der Kranken erfolgt nach dem Prinzip der Eisernen Lunge durch Erzeugung rhythmischer Unterdrucke in einem Nylonhemd, unter dem ein steifer Bügel einen Lufttunnel bildet, in dem die Druckschwankungen übertragen werden. Das Verfahren ist auch für länger dauernde endoskopische Eingriffe und bei Vorliegen ausgedehnterer Lungenveränderungen geeignet.
