Auf Intensivstationen werden nicht selten Entscheidungen über Leben und Tod getroffen. Wenn der Patient sich dazu nicht selbst äußern kann und keine Patientenverfügung bestenfalls im Rahmen von Advance Care Planning vorliegt, auf die sich das behandelnde Team berufen kann, sind die Angehörigen gefragt. Wie kann es gelingen, dass es dabei nicht zu Konflikten kommt? Das klärt der folgende Beitrag anhand eines Fallberichts.
