Zusammenfassung

Kindernotfälle sind seltene Ereignisse in der prähospitalen Notfallmedizin; der relative Anteil von Atemstörungen („airway“ [Atemweg] und „breathing “ [Atmung] ≙ AB) ist jedoch hoch. Meist werden sie von nichtspezialisierten Teams versorgt. Bei der Versorgung von AB-Notfällen steht die Sicherung von Oxygenierung und Ventilation im Vordergrund. Bei der Auswahl der Methoden gilt der Grundsatz, so wenig invasiv wie möglich und so invasiv wie nötig vorzugehen – dabei spielt die endotracheale Intubation inzwischen eine eher untergeordnete Rolle. In diesem Beitrag werden die wichtigsten Inhalte des Abschnitts. „Besonderheiten bei Kindern“ der aktuellen „S1-Leitlinie: Prähospitales Atemwegsmanagement“ dargestellt und anhand eines hypothetischen Fallverlaufs erläutert.
