Physikalisch-medizinische Aspekte der Frührehabilitation nach proximaler Femurfraktur

Zusammenfassung

Die proximale Femurfraktur im Alter zählt zu den Fragilitätsfrakturen. Sie ist einerseits Folge der Osteoporose, andererseits Ausdruck des allgemeinen Schwächerwerdens, der Zunahme sensorischer und funktioneller Defizite sowie abnehmender Kompensationsstrategien. Für viele ältere Menschen stellt sie ein „stressful life event“ dar. Trotz moderner Osteosynthesetechniken und wenig belastender Anästhesieverfahren wird das labile Gleichgeweicht des Betroffenen ins Wanken gebracht. Die proximale Femurfraktur ist mit einem hohen Mortalitätsrisiko assoziiert. Nur etwa 50 % der Betroffenen erreichen das prätraumatische Funktionsniveau wieder. Daher ist ein multiprofessionelles und interdisziplinäres Management dieser PatientInnen gefordert. Die umfassende, interdisziplinäre Rehabilitation sollte bereits mit der Diagnosestellung, spätestens nach der Operation beginnen. Schmerzen und Beschwerden während der Rehabilitation müssen abgeklärt und gezielter, zumeist multimodaler Intervention zugeführt werden.
