Zusammenfassung

Durch laufende Erweiterungen der Transplantationsregister, wie dem „Old for Old“-Programm in Europa, werden zunehmend ältere Patienten mit Organtransplantationen behandelt. Dabei sind die perioperativen Überlebensraten auch in diesem Patientenkollektiv (älter als 60 Jahre) deutlich steigend. Damit wird die Wahrscheinlichkeit, in der täglichen Praxis die Betreuung eines älteren Patienten nach Organtransplantation zu übernehmen, größer. Der vorliegende Beitrag beschreibt medizinische Besonderheiten von älteren organtransplantierten Patienten. Besonderes Augenmerk wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit auf das Management begleitender Erkrankungen sowie möglicher Neben- und Wechselwirkungen der nötigen immunsuppressiven Therapie gelegt.
