Abstract

Anaesthesia in a rescue service situation, although being rather seldom, is still an invasive intervention that demands special knowledge and experience on the part of the casualty doctor. For the given indication, clear benefits for the accident patient must be expected and weighed against the possible disadvantages. The indications are not restricted to traumatological emergencies but also include other situations. The course of a prehospital anaesthesia must be recorded in individual steps together with the employed medications. Finally anaethesia examples for the various emergency situations are presented.
