Abstract

Zusammenfassung: Vorgestellt wird ein Pflegemodell für die häusliche Pflege, das einen wesentlichen Beitrag liefern soll zur Erklärung, wie häusliche Pflege zustande kommt, unter welchen Bedingungen sie aufrecht erhalten wird und wodurch die subjektive Belastung der familiären (informellen) Pflegeperson beeinflußt wird. Im Zentrum des Modells steht das eindimensionale, bipolare Pflegemotiv «Zuneigung - Verpflichtung». Einflüsse auf das pflegende Handeln von Angehörigen gehen außerdem von Umständen aus, wie zum Beispiel von dem Gesundheitszustand der Pflegeperson oder der Ursache der Pflegebedürftigkeit (Demenz ja/nein). Aus dem Modell werden konkrete Hilfen für pflegende Angehörige abgeleitet.


Summary: The article presents a model for family caregiving which attempts to provide a substantial explanation of how family caregiving originates, the conditions required to maintain it and the factors which influence the subjective burden of family (informal) caregivers. The one-dimensional, bipolar motive «affection - obligation» constitutes the central focus of the nursing model for home care. Additionally, circumstances which influence the caregiving patterns of relatives are, for example, caregiver's health status or illness of the patient (dementia or not). Applying the model to concrete caregiving situations, relatives can be better advised on appropriate support systems.
