Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Simulationsbasiertes Lernen (SBL) wird im Rahmen der künftigen Aus-, Fort- und Weiterbildung von medizinischem Personal eine zunehmend wichtige Rolle übernehmen. Zahlreiche Untersuchungen deuten darauf hin, dass diese Lernmethode in den für die Patientensicherheit besonderes wichtigen Bereichen Human Factors und der Sicherheitskultur erfolgreich zum Einsatz kommen kann.

Schlussfolgerung

Eine flächendeckende Umsetzung scheitert aktuell an der Finanzierung. Diese Probleme könnten sich jedoch durch politische Vorgaben und haftpflichtrelevante Entwicklungen bald lösen.
