Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Trotz zunehmender Verfügbarkeit von Magnetresonanztomographie- (MRT-)Anlagen in Deutschland ist eine Durchführung von MRTs in Notfallsituationen und außerhalb der regulären Arbeitszeiten weiterhin problematisch. Höhere personelle Anforderungen sowie hoher logistischer Aufwand zusammen mit der meist eingeschränkten Compliance und Überwachbarkeit der schwerkranken Patienten sind ursächlich für den limitierten Einsatz der MRT in der Notfalldiagnostik anzusehen.

Diskussion

In folgendem Übersichtsartikel sollen die gegenwärtig wichtigsten Situationen, welche die Durchführung einer Notfall-MRT rechtfertigen, aufgeführt und diskutiert werden.
