Abstract

Management of pregnant women is changing because of the increasing cesarean delivery rates. Antenatal diagnoses such as uterine rupture, placenta increta and percreta, and placenta previa, as well as pathologies of the umbilical cord such as velamentous insertion and vasa previa, are now made more frequently. With the use of ultrasound techniques, accurate diagnosis is possible and can prevent serious complications.
