Schädelhirntrauma

ist die Folge einer äußeren Gewalteinwirkung auf den Schädel und das Gehirn. Primäre Verletzungsfolgen sind Weichteilverletzung, häorrhagischer Schock, Schädelfraktur, Durazerreißung, Hirnsubstanzschädigung, Verletzung hirnversorgender Gefäße und intrakranielle Blutung. Sekundäre Verletzungsfolgen sind Hirnödem, Liquorzirkulationsstörung, Meningitis, Hirnabszeß, Mangeldurchblutung, Sauerstoffmangel, Störung der Bluthirnschranke und Verlust der Autoregulation der Hirngefäße sowie Krampfanfälle.
