Ansätze zur Reduktion von Pflegebedürftigkeit und Demenz in einer alternden Gesellschaft

Zusammenfassung

Der demografische Wandel geht mit einer deutlichen Alterung der deutschen Bevölkerung einher. Pflegebedarf ist ein Phänomen hohen Alters, weshalb die Anzahl Pflegebedürftiger bis 2050 deutlich steigen wird und Möglichkeiten zur Senkung des Pflegebedarfs von großem Interesse sind. Mobilitätseinschränkungen sind ein verbreiteter Risikofaktor für Demenz und Pflegebedarf. Mittels Abrechnungsdaten der Krankenkasse AOK wird die Rolle eingeschränkter Mobilität als Risikofaktor für Demenz und Pflegebedarf empirisch analysiert. Zudem werden innovative Lösungsstrategien vorgestellt, die unter anderem in der Entwicklung neuer Technik bestehen können, um physische Mobilität zu erhalten und somit Demenzen und Pflegebedürftigkeit zu verringern.
