Zusammenfassung
Die nekrotisierende Fasziitis stellt nach wie vor eine der schwerwiegendsten Weichteilinfektionen dar und ist auch heute noch mit einer hohen Letalität assoziiert. Bagatellverletzungen sind häufig der Ursprung dieser schweren Infektion. Rötung, Schwellung und starke Schmerzen so wie eine frühzeitig einsetzende Reduktion des Allgemeinzustands mit dem klinischen Bild der Sepsis sind charakteristische klinische Merkmale der Erkrankung. Die Diagnosestellung bleibt primär klinisch, jedoch können laborchemische Untersuchungen (LRINEC-Score) und bildgebende Verfahren zur Abgrenzung gegenüber den Differenzialdiagnosen hilfreich sein. Die frühzeitige und effiziente Therapie hat einen signifikanten Einfluss auf die Prognose der Erkrankung und darf daher nicht durch diagnostische Maßnahmen verzögert werden.
