Zusammenfassung

In wirtschaftlich ungünstigen Zeiten mögen Themen wie „Urlaub“, „Freizeit“ und „Erholung“ für Unternehmen sowie deren Mitarbeiter als relativ unwichtig erscheinen. Primäres Augenmerk liegt oft auf der Sicherung der Aufträge, die Aufrechterhaltung einzelner Standorte sowie der Erhalt der Arbeitsplätze. Da mutet es beinahe als Luxus an, über Urlaub und Erholung nachzudenken. Dennoch sind gerade in wirtschaftlich unsicheren Zeiten, die meist mit hoher Arbeitsbelastung und hohem Stresserleben einhergehen, Themen wie Urlaub und Erholung von großer Bedeutung, da sie — so hier die These — mit dazu beitragen, die Leistungsfähigkeit der Mitarbeiter langfristig zu gewährleisten. Aus diesem Grund sollten wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse zur Urlaubs- und Freizeitgestaltung und Facetten der Erholung in ein modernes betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagement einfließen.
