FNA can be converted into nitric oxide without being catalyzed by Nir, which is then reduced by bacteria to produce N2O [37]. However, according to the study of Zhou, et al. [39], in this study, the maximum FNA was 1.2 × 10−4 mg N·L−1, indicating that the productions of N2O caused by FNA were limited.
