8. Kommunikation in der Palliativmedizin

Zusammenfassung

Kommunikation bildet die Grundlage der palliativmedizinischen Philosophie und Praxis: Kommunikation zwischen Arzt, Patienten und Angehörigen, zwischen Patient und Angehörigen sowie zwischen den beteiligten Mitarbeitern des Palliativteams. All diese Ebenen der Kommunikation tragen maßgeblich zur Begleitung des Menschen am Lebensende bei. In diesem Kapitel werden wichtige palliativmedizinische Gesprächssituationen und Grundsätze der Gesprächsführung zwischen Arzt und der „unit of care“, dem Patienten und seine ihm bedeutsamen Nahestehenden, dargestellt.
