Zusammenfassung

Emotionale Kompetenz kann als Ergebnis der frühen Eltern-Kind Interaktion gesehen werden. Wenn eine Person ihre Gefühle wahrnehmen, differenzieren und funktional mit diesen umgehen kann, verfügt sie über eine Ressource, die sich positiv auf die psychische Gesundheit auswirkt. Patienten, die wiederkehrend unter Depressionen leiden fällt es oft schwer, auf der eigenen inneren Bühne die Regie zu führen. Insbesondere die emotionalen Darsteller werden im inneren Bühnenbild von Patienten mit Depression verzerrt oder nur unzureichend wahrgenommen. Des Weiteren, haben Patienten mit wiederkehrenden Depressionen Schwierigkeiten, mit Gefühlen umzugehen. Die Folge ist, dass sie sich von den emotionalen Darstellern verstricken lassen und automatisch in depressionstypische Kreisläufe geraten. Im vorliegenden Kapitel wird gezeigt, wie Achtsamkeit das emotionale Prozessgeschehen günstig beeinflussen kann. Nach einem theoretischen und empirischen Überblick werden die achtsamkeitsbasierte kognitive Therapie zur Rückfallprävention und aktuelle Forschungsbefunde vorgestellt.
