Zusammenfassung

Mit einer Prävalenz von 10 Herzfehlern bei 1000 Lebendgeborenen gehören die angeborenen Herzfehler zu den wichtigsten Fehlbildungen des Menschen und weisen nach wie vor eine hohe Morbidität und Mortalität auf. Die Untersuchung des fetalen Herzens ist in den letzten 30 Jahren zu einem festen Bestandteil der pränatalen Diagnostik geworden, nachdem wiederholt gezeigt werden konnte, dass zum einen die Entdeckung angeborener Herzfehler möglich und zuverlässig ist und zum anderen ihre antenatale Entdeckung zu einer Besserung der neonatalen Morbidität und Mortalität führt. Insbesondere profitieren Feten mit Ductus-arteriosus-abhängigen Herzfehlern von einer pränatalen Diagnose, die eine Optimierung des perinatalen Managements erlaubt; auch gilt dies für Feten mit einer Transposition der großen Arterien und Feten mit einer obstruktiven Lungenvenenfehlmündung. In diesem Kapitel werden neben den verschiedenen Untersuchungstechniken, dem Untersuchungsgang und den Indikationen der fetalen Echokardiographie die einzelnen Herzfehler und die Herzrhythmusstörungen ausführlich beschrieben.
