5. Effekte von Sport in und nach der Schwangerschaft

Zusammenfassung

Sportliche Aktivität wirkt sich positiv aus auf die kardiovaskuläre Fitness, die Schmerzwahrnehmung bzw. Schmerztoleranz und die Gewichtskontrolle während und nach der Schwangerschaft. eine Reduktion von muskuloskelettalen Beschwerden (insbesondere Rückenschmerzen), Inkontinenz, Insulinresistenz und des Risikos, an einem Gestationsdiabetes zu erkranken, ist ebenfalls zu verzeichnen. Rund 4 Woche nach der Geburt kann mit moderatem Aufbautraining wieder begonnen werden. Das größte Augenmerk ist auf die erneute Festigung des Beckenbodens und die Verminderung der Rektusdiastase zu legen. Psychische bzw. psychologischen Effekte von Sportaktivität sind vielfältig: Reduktion von Stimmungsschwankungen, Ängsten und Depressivität sowie Förderung von Wohlbefinden und Selbstvertrauen. Sportaktivität hat einen positiven Einfluss auf Schlafqualität, Umgang mit schwangerschaftsbedingten Beschwerden und Geburtsschmerzen. Auch Sportanfängerinnen profitieren.
