Zusammenfussang

Ein zentrales Kennzeichen der meisten Achtsamkeitsübungen, die in klinischen Programmen wie Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) oder Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) eingesetzt werden, ist ihr starker Körperbezug. Das Kapitel geht der Frage nach, warum Achtsamkeitsübungen diesen Körperbezug haben. In dem grundlagenorientierten Forschungsfeld zum Thema Embodiment geht man davon aus, dass zwischen körperlichen Prozessen, Emotionen und Kognitionen wechselseitige Beziehungen bestehen. Darauf aufbauend sollen die Zusammenhänge zwischen Achtsamkeit und Embodiment sowie die Relevanz dieser Zusammenhänge für achtsamkeitsbasierte Interventionen auch im klinischen Kontext erörtert werden. Zunächst gibt das Kapitel einen allgemeinen Überblick über die Kernideen der Achtsamkeit und des Embodiment. Darauffolgend wird die Rolle des Körpers im Rahmen von achtsamkeitsbasierten Interventionen diskutiert, um dann abschließend die Relevanz für die klinische Psychologie zu erörtern.
