Zusammenfassung

Menschen mit Demenz stellen eine Hochrisikogruppe für Mobilitätseinschränkungen, geminderte körperliche Aktivität und Sturzgeschehen dar. Zudem sind sie mit einer Vielzahl von Barrieren hinsichtlich der Ausübung von Bewegung konfrontiert. Jedoch hat gerade körperliche Aktivität das Potenzial den funktionellen Abbau bei Menschen mit Demenz zu verzögern und damit die Krankheitsprogression zumindest zu verlangsamen. Wie die Ressource Bewegung bei Menschen mit Demenz trotz der von Vulnerabilität gekennzeichneten Mobilitätssituation gezielt gefördert werden kann, welche Problemstellungen in Praxis und Forschung mit Bewegungsförderung für Menschen mit Demenz einhergehen und wie diese gelöst werden können, ist Gegenstand des Kapitels.

Eine Doppelabstützung entsteht, wenn beide Füße zugleich den Boden berühren. Die Dauer der Doppelabstützungsphase wird durch die Summe der benötigten Zeit von zwei Perioden der Doppelabstützung im Gangzyklus angegeben.

Die Schwungphase wird initiiert, wenn sich die Zehen vom Boden lösen und endet, wenn der gleiche Fuß den Boden wieder berührt. Mit der Schwungdauer wird die Zeitspanne zwischen den Bodenkontakten desselben Fußes angegeben.
