Optimierte Versorgung bei fortgeschrittener akuter und chronischer Herzinsuffizienz

Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Herzinsuffizienz stellt ein Krankheitsbild mit stetig steigender Prävalenz in Deutschland und den westlichen Industrienationen dar. Die Behandlung der fortgeschrittenen akuten und chronischen Herzinsuffizienz erfordert ein hohes Maß an personeller Expertise und technischer Ausstattung.

Fragestellung

Aufzeigen der derzeitigen medizinischen und technischen Möglichkeiten in Abhängigkeit von der korrekten Wahl der Klinik.

Schlussfolgerungen

Bislang gibt es keine spezialisierten stationären Versorgungsstrukturen für Patienten mit fortgeschrittener chronischer Herzinsuffizienz, bei der auch eine akute Exazerbation möglich ist. Eine korrekte präklinische Evaluation ist entscheidend, um den Patienten der optimalen Zielklink zuzuführen und die weitere diagnostische und therapeutische Versorgung somit richtig zu bahnen. So profitieren diese schwerstkranken Patienten von einer raschen Verlegung in ein spezialisiertes Zentrum, welches große Erfahrung in der Behandlung dieses Krankheitsbilds auch unter Einsatz perkutaner Kreislaufunterstützungssysteme besitzt. Es wird außerdem die neue Heidelberg Advanced Heart Failure Unit als Modell für eine maximale Versorgungsstufe vorgestellt.
