Prävention ist ein in der somatischen Medizin gut etabliertes und durch Studien abgesichertes Konzept. Es ist darauf ausgerichtet, Krankheiten durch auf Risikofaktoren bezogene Interventionen oder z. B. durch Impfung zu verhindern (Primärprävention), gut beeinflussbare Frühstadien zu erkennen und durch frühzeitige Behandlung den Verlauf zu mildern (Sekundärprävention) oder nach bereits eingetretener Erkrankung das Risiko von Rezidiven und anhaltenden Funktionseinbußen zu mindern (Tertiärprävention). …
